To unpack your car, you can temporarily park near the chalet.
Then for the rest of the week, our parking space is not yet finished, but you can park in the street if you wish.
Parking is free, as our street begins before the station toll.
We ask you to respect the neighborhood. To do this, we ask you not to park in the parking spaces provided around the chalets: they are all private spaces. The easiest way is to park in the street that leads to our neighborhood, before the start of the loop (in yellow in the photo).
Be careful, in the event of heavy snow, it can be a little tricky to find a practicable place. In this case, we provide you with a snow shovel if you need it. This can allow you to prepare your parking space in peace. This is also the "real" mountain :).
Otherwise, you have of course the possibility of using the parking lots of the station. Either by renting a place in a covered car park (le charvet) or closed open (there are some on the roundabout near the building on the Croisette). You can also pay only the entrance toll and find a public parking space (there is a large parking area next to the Croisette building).
These car parks near the entrance to the Croisette are a few minutes walk from the chalet.
The configuration of the mezzanine does not allow to put a chest of drawers, we have fitted out a dressing room in the laundry room. Turns out it's even more convenient because you can change when you come home from skiing or just after your shower, without crossing the whole chalet!
A client suggested that we put more paterres in the rooms: it's a good idea and we will do it when we return in April! Thanks to Marjon for his advice :).
What is the best way to finish my descent if I want to get as close as possible to Charvet?
You can arrive at Place du Charvet directly from the slopes and thus be a few meters from the Skimium store to leave your equipment.
To do this, when you come back to the front of the slope, aim for the top of the "le dahu" lift, which provides access to the residences from the top of the station.
At this level, cross a little and take the path to the right (in the direction of the descent) of this lift. It is the path which is above the children's ski area. Keep going as far to the right as possible. you arrive directly at the place du Charvet, without having to walk!
It is of course you who decide but, we strongly encourage you to do so. We have decided to no longer cover the risk of personal contamination because recent vairants have become far too contagious.
We don't have shares in this or that company so you can take whatever you want :). In terms of prices, we found the Chapka company to have good prices. The contract must be taken within 48 hours of your reservation.Their prices displayed to cover a mountain stay range from 2.8 to 4% depending on the guarantees you request .
Of course, we cannot vouch for their work, but they are the ones who provide the rental center for the Les Arcs resort. This seems to us to be a sign of confidence.
We also found reasonably priced contracts at Europe assitance.
There is food and equipment in the chalet, can I use it?
Yes!. We leave some reserves on site (pasta, oil, sauces etc...) and useful daily equipment (a few backpacks, sledges etc...). You can dispose of it. We are counting on you to replace what you have used (or broken in case) with the equivalent so that the next tenant (or ourselves!) can find these reserves when they arrive.
We will gradually expand this part based on your experiences.
Massages! One person offers home massages in the area. We haven't tested her, but she seems to have experience. If you use her services, do not hesitate to give us your feelings! here is the link to her site.
Have a drink after skiing: A natural address in Charvet is of course the bar "Chez Boubou". This institution in Les Arcs has welcomed many celebrities, especially in the 80s. The former boss "boubou", lives in our neighborhood;) ....
A traditional restaurant? You will find at the foot of the Belles Challes residence (go visit the hall of this residence which is worth the detour) a very good traditional Savoyard restaurant that we really appreciated.
A terrace with a view? at the very end of the gallery that leads to the pharmacy, we ate in a restaurant that was called the girls' terrace at the time. We had a table at the end of the terrace overlooking the valley with a great view. Go see if we can still settle down there, it will make you a nice evening.
